Day 7:

Wow- today was one of the longest, busiest days of my life. I feel like a chicken with my head cut off. End of month is busy busy busy with my business.

Buttttttt.....although it was INSANE...I DID work out! Today was a little difficult- my back is killing me after sitting for 5 hours getting my hair done (which I love love love) but ya, back is owie! So that wasnt fun today. Hopefully tomorrow will be easier!

Day 5/6: SCRATCH!!!

Okay so weekends are my weakness!! I totally screwed this weekend up. I didn't exercise, I ate like crap and can't wait for tomorrow so I can get back to it.

I've decided that rather than hold myself to something I KNOW I will mess up because weekends are always so busy with the family all home and doing fun Mary Kay parties- I'll just skip working out on the weekends and do a mon-fri 30 day shred LOL sooooo tomorrow is the REAL day 5! ;-)

Day 4:

WOW- Day 4 here and gone ;-)

I'm so excited to be working my butt off! Today I worked out with my friend Angela. Well...she lives in NM so we were on the phone- but it sure made the 20 min fly by! Working out with a buddy really does help lol (I'm sure she loved me panting lol- the cardo gets me pretty winded LOL)

I wish I could say today was easier...the push-ups were easier today but I am so sore that my body feels exhausted. That's okay- I know this means it's really working!

Drinking tons of water today and making a "healthy" grocery list...some one needs to get this cake out of my house before i eat it!!

I hope you are all having a fab friday and ready for a great weekend. Im nervous for the weekend as I know my routine of working out at 9:30am may change- I know I have the strength to just do it and not feel tempted to take the weekend off!

To all my friends who are doing the 30 day shred too- I'm excited to shred the pounds with you!!! and those that are thinking about it- you can do it! It's not easy but it's worth it. My friend lost 17lbs doing the 30 shred- you can too!!

Day 3:

That was the fastest workout ever! Day 3 still sucked though and it isn't feeling any easier. My muscles are sooooo sore!! I love being sore cause i know "it's working" but at the same time- id rather be sore and sitting on my ass than sore and working out. 30 days of no break is gonna suck---but SOOOO worth it!!! Im shredding the fat and the stress on my body is mandatory to do that!

Id say yesterday I ate sooo much better (oatmeal for breakfast, boiled chicken and a small salad for lunch- i loved the chicken and nice yummy healthy dinner of pork chops, veggies, cottage cheese!)  ....until I baked that Chocolate fudge cake...WTF! Well, I've been good about keeping my fingers out of it and I took the smaller piece last night so baby steps people, baby steps! ;-)

I hope you are all having a great day! I love hearing that I'm motivating some friends along the way too :-) Leave me some love comments: i need them to know you're reading so I keep my butt moving!

Tip: Find a friend or relative whom you like and trust who also wants to establish a healthier lifestyle. Encourage one another. Exercise together. Use this as an opportunity to enjoy one another's company and to strengthen the relationship.- I can't work out with my friends right now- but I'm using this blog as a way for us to encourage one another.

Day 2:

It's 10am and I am done done done with day 2 of my 30 day shred!


I'm so proud of myself: I haven't stopped, quiet or cheated on an exercise yet and we all know the beginning is the hardest. I am however doing some of the alternate positions- well on the push ups at least but hopefully in a few more days this wont be an issue.

I feel kinda shaky after this workout- my muscles are for sure screaming. I do however feel very motivated to take on the day and feel like I have more energy. I actually WANT to start laundry and cleaning...wow! lol

I drank a ton of water yesterday but my eating still kinda sucked....ya, I had cereal for dinner since I got home late from my meeting. I did pick up some Slim Fast meal bars- not to use as a diet but to eat when im on the go and cant stop...usually i just wouldnt eat- but I figure these would be great for on the go since they are 200 calories.

Day 2 a success- excited for day 3....but it's hard- im not joking- this 30 day shred just shows how out of shape i am.

Today's tip: "Don't strive for perfection or an improbable goal that can't be met"

Day 1:

Day 1:

Today I weighed myself first thing in the morning (8am for anyone who knows me LOL)
199lbs is my starting weight.

I am starting the Jillian Micheals 30 day shred (starting over due to my nice fall down the stairs)

Todays workout was actually not my favorite. Of course day 1 is always difficult but I feel extra fat and pretty sad about it but I kept telling myself "I dont want to be fat forever". You can't beat a 20min workout. If you're interested in the 30day shred- it's at walmart for $9. Make sure you pick up some hand weights too. I use 3lbs. Man they felt heavy today ;-)

I was really laughing at myself during this workout. I use to be military...i should be able to do damn push-ups right?! Holy Cow they were sooooo hard today. I even had to do the modified push-ups. Hopefully in a few more days this wont be an issue LOL

Aiden loves working out with me! If you have kiddos have them do it with you. It actually made me feel great when he quiet lol YEP, I can out do a 4 year old hahahahahah

My Tips for the day: (more for myself- but feel free to use them too!)
Never start a new workout plan (or diet if you want to diet) on a Monday- you'll always quiet....hence today is Tuesday!

Plan your workouts into your day as you would anything else. Make it an appointment you cant miss and if you do the same time everyday it will soon become habit. Im using morning nap time (9:30am) to do my workouts.

My Intro:

Hi Friends,

Please follow me on my journey to get my body back! I have huge goals, a ton of motivation (finally), and visions of being back to the old me. 

Wow- it's been almost 5 years (May 18th, 2006) since I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy, Aiden. I know this sounds crazy but that's the "day" I lost my body. As a mom we give up so much. I was the WORST pregnant chick ever. I really took that "eating for two" thing to heart and did just that- I ate for two! I went from 135lbs when I found out I was pregnant to 194lbs the day I delivered. Needless to say, I didnt realize the amount of "work" that went into shedding baby weight. So I was lazy and did nothing to try and lose the weight. I seriously thought I'd go back to "normal" and that breastfeeding would help- nope and nope!

4 years later....I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl, Kamryn (April 25th, 2010). When I got pregnant with her I weighed 183lbs (Side note: yep, only kept off 11 lbs after having my son, did lose more but put it all back on when I stopped nursing- lowest I went was 165lbs).  When I delivered Kamryn I weighed 224lbs. I never wanted to pass the 200 mark and got very depressed when I did. But I was pregnant and although I was not "okay" with the weight gain, I did want a healthy baby.

Today: February 22, 2011. Aiden is almost 5, Kamryn will be 10months in a few days and I'm still "FAT"!  I have decided to start this weight loss blog to hold myself accountable, show and share my progress and achieve my goals!

To do list:

1. I will blog every single day until I meet my final goal.
2. I will weigh in once per week
3. I will eat healthier- but will not go on a diet or sacrifice the things that I love.
4. I will ONLY workout from home (with dvds and my hubbies new treadmill)
5. I will be 100% honest and tell every single thing that I have done to lose my weight.

Goals:

1. Return to my pre-pregnancy weight of 135lbs. before March 2012
2. Begin with and complete Jillian Micheals 30 day shred
3. Do the couch to 5k (again- only finish it this time)
4. Lose 2lbs per week. (hopefully more- but we'll see!)
5. Learn to eat healthier and DRINK MORE WATER!!!!

Rewards:
 I will reward myself for every 10lbs I lose. Starting with small rewards and working towards big rewards. :-) 

1st reward at 190lbs: Get a pedicure and 2hrs out alone 

180lbs: buy a new pair of shoes

170 lbs: Get a massage 

160lbs: An entire day out by myself

150lbs: A new purse....yep, a new coach purse!! 

140lbs: 10 new outfits! 

135lbs: A boob job!! 

NUMBER 1 Goal: Get my body back before my hubby returns from Afghanistan so we can take a vacation together!

Starting Weight: 199lbs.
